Sanjay Raina is currently the President and CEO of Celestial Systems Inc., the company Sanjay founded in 2001. Celestial is based in Vancouver, Canada. Celestial provides global software development services for Web/Mobile Enterprise applications, and Embedded Linux based services. Celestial has a long history with MontaVista Software, with several different partnership engagements starting from 2001.

Prior to his current role, Sanjay was the President of MontaVista Software from January 2013 till late 2018. Previously, he was also the Vice President for the Engineering and Professional Services teams at MontaVista. Under his leadership, MontaVista developed domain expertise in various areas including embedded Linux, In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems, Digital Media, Storage and Android.

Sanjay was the President and CEO of Celestial Systems from 2004 till 2010.

From the year 2000 till mid 2004, Sanjay was the President & CEO of Pixtel Communications Inc., a software company offering products and services for mobile phone development. Pixtel was acquired by Mediatek Inc. of Taiwan in the summer of 2004.

Beginning 1994 till early 2000, Sanjay was the Regional Director for Asia Pacific business for Integrated Systems Inc. (which was acquired by Wind River Systems in 1998), and was responsible for developing the embedded software market for the company in the APAC region.

Sanjay is a B.Tech. graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology at Kanpur, India, and a M.A.Sc. graduate from the University of British Columbia at Vancouver, Canada.
