Support Lifecycle

The MontaVista support life cycle defines the duration of support customers receive as MontaVista products move through their life cycle.

Product Support Schedule

All MontaVista product subscribers can sign up to annually renew their agreement with different levels of support, ranging from Standard to Dedicated Engineering Services (DES) support to cover all support activities, including email and phone-based support, as well as access to the MontaVista Zone content delivery portal.

Customers also have the option to extend the maintenance of a product by purchasing Premium Long Term Maintenance (PLTM) and Long Term Maintenance (LTM). The Premium Long Term Maintenance phase of a product life cycle typically last for 3 years followed by two years of LTM before End of Life (EOL). Once the LTM phase has ended customers still have option to extend the maintenance of a product, delaying the EOL date, using our Extended Long Term Maintenance (ELTM) and Sustaining Support services, please ask your salesperson for details.
